You can buy a gaming PC from Bunnings now

Did you know you can buy a pre-built gaming PC from Bunnings now? Because I certainly didn’t.

Bunnings, the national hardware megachain and favorite weekend destination for baby boomers cheaply outfitting their seventh home, is now selling gaming peripherals. And not just cheap stuff either, they’re into top gear. upmarket and sophisticated. $400 Cherry keyboards and $700 Twitch streaming desks. Seriously, take a look.

Offices. Gaming chairs. Headsets. Mouse. Keyboards. Mousepad. Speakers. A kitsch lamp that projects the Call of Duty logo on your desktop? Even more kitschy home decor, like signs that say Go Away, I’m Gaming. It’s like a Zing Pop Culture shop has taken root in Bunnings’ brainstem and is spreading fast.

They also sell table football. It’s not really related to Gamer, but it’s new.

Anyway, I was years old today when I discovered that the Bunnings range was much wider than I already thought. I was also years today when I found out that TEAC, a brand that was everywhere in my childhood, still exists.

When did it happen? Was it recent? Have these gaming peripherals been hanging around at Bunnings for a while and I just haven’t noticed them? I have so many questions.

Anyway, here it is: Bunnings Warehouse now offers gaming hardware. The lowest latency is just the beginning.
