Instagram was the second most installed non-gaming app in the world last month with over 56 million installs, which is a 31% increase from October 2020. Also Read – PUBG Mobile Becomes World’s Best Gaming App In Q3 2021 Despite India Ban
The countries with the most Instagram installs were India at 39%, followed by Brazil at 6%. Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram rounded out the top five most installed non-gaming apps in the world for the month.
Last year, the Indian government said it was banning 59 apps developed by Chinese companies, including ByteDance’s TikTok and PUBG Mobile, over fears those apps could engage in activities threatening national security.
