TikTok follows closely behind in second place, with 62 million installs. China contributed 17% of new installations, while the United States accounts for 10% of new users. It is worth noting that TikTok has managed to secure 62 million new installs at a time when the Chinese short video platform is still banned in India, one of its key markets.

In third position is another messaging application – Signal. In case you haven’t already guessed, the rise in downloads is mainly due to users switching to Signal and Telegram.
