This all-AMD gaming PC covers all the bases for your average gamer, while leaving a little wiggle room for future upgrades. Its current-gen GPU and still very relevant CPU combo make it a great contender for playing triple-A games today.

Right now it’s only $1,100 at Amazon (opens in a new tab). It’s cheaper than ever, according to the three wise camels (opens in a new tab)with $200 off the usual asking price of $1,300.

Inside you won’t find the best of the best components, but it’s a great buy if you don’t have a bottomless bank account to dip into. Radeon RX 6600XT (opens in a new tab) is comfortably faster than Nvidia’s RTX 3060 offering, meaning it can throw over 100fps in Horizon Zero Dawn at 1080p, with graphics set to Ultimate. Not terrible, but that’s not the only great thing about this machine.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600G is a six-core, twelve-thread processor, with integrated graphics and running at base clock speeds of 3.9 GHz. This means that if you’re going to resell the GPU (not that we’re advocating that kind of behavior), you can probably still get away with playing some games. Although you might want to upgrade to one of the best CPU coolers (opens in a new tab) if that’s the plan.

And if you plan to upgrade in the future, there’s room for up to 32GB of 3600MHz RAM. Right now it’s on 16GB of DDR4, and while it can’t get the most out of the current DDR5 memory standard, it’s about what most gamers need today. today.

Then there is the SSD. It’s a little small for a desktop rig, and it’s not a super fast NVMe SSD, but there’s no reason you can’t give it a little upgrade once you end up snowed in with massive game facilities. I recommend you check out our best SSD guide (opens in a new tab) if you plan to do so.
