Enhance your hotel stay with Rove’s exclusive games room

If you’re in the mood for a staycation but want something a little different, we’ve discovered something that might take the cake for a one-of-a-kind hotel stay. Rove Hotels in Dubai has created a unique gaming hotel room in two of its properties – Downtown Dubai and Dubai Parks and Resorts. For anyone who wants to enjoy the comforts of a hotel mixed with all-night gaming, this is the room for you.

The room is decorated with neon lights and game decals on the walls, to make it as player friendly as possible. There’s a double bed for lounging in front of the TV, and you can easily connect your laptop to the TV with a handy HDMI port that sits by the bed – perfect for binging Netflix or YouTube, or even streaming wirelessly from your phone Android.

Of course, the thing that will draw the most attention sits patiently in the corner – a full PC gaming setup that’s guaranteed to give you some serious cravings. Featuring a range of Razer accessories (including the chair), you’re bound to spend as much time on this rugged gaming setup as you sleep.

It’s all powered by a beast of a PC (supplied by Playtonia), equipped with an Intel Core i7-11700K processor, 16GB of RAM, Windows 10 Pro, EVGA Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU, motherboard Asus Z590P Prime, a Samsung 980 Pro 256 GB SSD and a 2 TB hard drive loaded with games. You also have a host of Razer accessories and peripherals, including the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog Gaming Keyboard, Razer Viper 8KHz Gaming Mouse + Full Desktop Mouse Pad, BlackShark V2 Headset, Razer Seiren Broadcast Microphone Mini, the Kiyo Pro camera and a Razer game. chair. To top it all off, two Viewsonic XG2705 displays with 144Hz refresh rate, perfect for gaming.

The inclusion of the microphone and camera means you can actually log into your own Twitch account or another streaming service account and stream straight from the game room, uninterrupted. There’s unfortunately no ring light to enhance your camera’s image, and we’d certainly have liked to see an Elgato Stream Deck included for easier switching scenes and triggering effects. But even if you don’t stream at all and just play with friends, this PC can handle anything you throw at it.

Unfortunately, for non-PC gamers, there’s not much to love here. Although there is a PS5 in the lobby in front of which you can park for a while, there are no consoles available for rent in the room, unless of course you bring your own. So if you’re a PC gamer looking for some quiet time to play games in peace, then this is exactly the hotel room you should check into.

Room rates start from AED 550 for Rove Downtown and AED 349 for Rove At The Park – details at rovehotels.com
