Best Gaming PC Built for Cyberpunk 2077

As you can see from the requirements above, Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to be a rather taxing game. The version we’re rolling out will be slightly more powerful than that to ensure you can play the game in 4K, so please bear that in mind. Also, you should always take these system requirements with a pinch of salt as we haven’t rated the game yet.

What you get for your money

It’s no surprise that the budget for the best custom gaming PC for Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t cheap, but it doesn’t have to be excessive either. We’ve set the budget between $1500 and $2000 to ensure you get high-quality components that also have the performance impact you’re looking for. At this price, you’re well and truly at the high end of gaming PCs and a step away from the best. There are no compromises to this budget in terms of performance and you can be sure to get a machine that looks good too.

When it comes to performance, we know there will be a mix of gamers with varying budgets getting their hands on this game. While Cyberpunk 2077 will no doubt be enjoyable to run at optimized settings regardless of the specs of your PC, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to try and get the most out of this AAA title. Nvidia will launch its latest Ampere 30 series graphics cards and will be integrated into this version as soon as possible. For now, we’ll stick with the much-loved RTX 20 series to power this build.

The GPU will be supported by one of Intel’s latest 10th generation processors, the Core 10600K. The 10600K is one of Intel’s best value-for-money processors and will go far in any gaming rig. This processor comes with 6 cores and 12 threads, giving consumers fewer cores than AMD’s tightly priced 3700X. Despite this, this chip offers excellent single-core performance and when paired with a powerful Nvidia RTX card, you can expect superb gaming results. Out of the box, this processor features a clock speed of 4.1 GHz, with a maximum boost potential of 4.8 GHz, which is easily done with the motherboard we selected.

We don’t know at this point what the Cyberpunk 2077 file size will be, but this custom version includes one of the fastest M.2 SSDs currently available. The 1TB drive will be more than enough for your favorite operating system and games, but you might want to add a hard drive for all your work-related and media files if you need them.

Whether you’re running Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p, 1440p, or 4K, you can rest assured that this custom gaming PC can handle it.

How we choose

The WePC team has years of combined experience in building and, of course, gaming, which allows us to make some shrewd recommendations to our friends, families, and readers. All of our custom gaming PC recommendations are backed by careful research and benchmarking to ensure that the products we suggest are actually the best for the job. We work tirelessly to update and keep every build recommendation as current as possible, even when items are out of stock we will be there to fill the gap with suitable replacements.

We always look for value for money and try to focus on performance rather than flashy looks, ensuring that your hard earned money is not wasted.

NOTE: Due to the ongoing effects of the global coronavirus pandemic, some retailers are experiencing inventory issues. WePC is constantly updating our pages to reflect current availability, so if the PC you want is showing as out of stock, check back later or check out these alternatives.

How we test

We build all of our custom PC build recommendations in-house at the WePC office, ensuring that all components are compatible and work in unison for the best gaming experience.

Once built, we put these custom PCs through their paces, comparing a wide selection of the most popular and demanding titles. We don’t just think about gaming, we like to test our PCs for general work scenarios, from light to heavy duty.

We know some of our readers like to overclock systems and push the performance price even further, so we make sure to test that as well. This can reassure you that the components can handle that extra rush of power and nothing will break the line.
