With CES 2022 underway, ASUS has announced a range of new products, including laptops, accessories, and a new 17-inch foldable PC.
ASUS didn’t do anything for CES 2022, bringing in a wide range of gear, but in typical CGMagazine fashion, let’s start with the tech giant’s new laptops. The new ROG Strix SCAR powered by the new 12th generation Intel processor as well as the Strix G featuring an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. Both laptops also have a powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU to keep games running smoothly.
If that wasn’t enough, ASUS also announced the new ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, featuring the company’s “ScreenPad Plus” secondary display which is once again a marvel of design and technology. New ROG Zephyrus G14, G15 and M16 ultraportable gaming laptops have been announced, featuring the new “Nebula” display. The new display supports a maximum brightness of 500 nits, a 1440p / 120 Hz display and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut for content creation.
Not to leave CES without announcing some striking new technology, ASUS also announced the Zenbook 17 Fold, the company’s version of a foldable PC. Similar to Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Fold from last year, it seeks to make PC computing more interesting, offering a new form factor and a striking new concept of using computers. While it’s unclear how well this will work in practice, but the concept looks quite interesting, we’ll have to get our hands on time to really judge her outfit.
ASUS also announced the latest addition to its Zenbook line, including the new ASUS Zenbook OLED 14X Space Edition. Packed with high-end specs and the latest 12th Generation Intel processors, they deliver thin, light power in a truly stunning package. The ASUS Zenbook OLED 14X Space Edition also features a 3.5-inch “ZenVision” OLED display on the lid, which can be customized to display whatever you desire.
Keeping things interesting on the gaming side, ASUS announced new gaming gear including ROG Fusion II 500 and 300 gaming headsets, ROG Swift OLED monitors with up to 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. , the ROG Chakram X gaming mouse and the innovative ROG Strix Flare II Animated Gaming Keyboard.
Finally, ASUS also unveiled the new Rapture GT-AXE16000 gaming router. The new router broadcasts on one 2.4 GHz band, two 5 GHz bands, and one 6 GHz band, with either the 5 GHz or 6 GHz bands available as a wireless link if you want to use the router in a mesh configuration. It has a new Broadcom Wi-Fi chipset and a processor promising an 18% increase in maximum throughput. For people who like wired connections, the router includes two 10 Gbps ports, one 2.5 Gbps WAN port, and four 1 Gbps ports.
It is not known when the new products will hit the market, but it is certain that ASUS will unveil more in the coming months.
